2:29PM - Flash Question...

I need some help with a Flash/actionscript problem I'm having and I know it'll be something really simple yet...

I've done a few galleries (for finishing up a website) and so that it's less easier for people to swipe piccies and that it's easier in future to update the gallery etc. I've made the actionscript link to external images and when I tested the movie it all worked perfecly yet when I embedded the flash movie into the .htm page the movie will work but the external images won't load. I read somewhere that if I changed the external .jpegs to external .swf's it may work and it does exactly the same so any idea's any one?

It will be something stupid I know it will (always is) and I've checked the actionscript over and over and no bugs are coming up when I play the movie in flash but for some reason I just can't get the external images to load.

Grrrr Any help would be appreciated.

Oh I'm using Dreamweaver and Flash 8 btw along with Firefox. :P

Can someone help me, please? Maybe? Pleeeease?

Okay, so I have to do this assignment for flash to get a certificate so i can get a job. Problem is, I have no idea how to use flash. I barely know the basics, but help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Here's my predicament.

I have proffecional photoshop/imageready skills, so i want to use them as much as possible. I have made my animations in Imageready and saved them as .gif. When I import them, they work, until i try to put a button in, at which point the animation plays for such a short time that you can't even see it. Sooooo i'm wondering ....help!

I've hit a bit of a snag. Something easily remedied I'm sure. And once told how I'll feel extremely dumb for even asking. I have a button at the end of a movie clip. Currently I have it set to: on (release) {gotoAndPlay ("finished", 1);}... having clicked the button it should go to my next scene (labeled 'finished'). Instead of going to the next scene, it just goes back to the first frame of the movie clip.

How do I get it to point to the next scene instead of returning to the beginning?

7:04PM - Skafandr flash music video (3 Mb)

International Festival of Animation and Computer Skills "Chaos
Constructions" took
place recently in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. More than 100 works
from different Russian
and foreign animators were presented during the Festival. The
Festival was held in
one of the best Saint-Petersburg auditorium the City Youth
Palace. There was a
saturated program with contests on different nominations concerned
with video- and
audio programming, animation and computer graphics. It was the
animation clip for
music group "Skafandr" made by Satim (TOONDRA Animation Studio)
that came first in the flash

Author: Alexander "Satim" Timofeyev. He is the animator,
the designer and the art-director of the Studio. satim@toondra.ru

This is what the author said about this work:
We didn t drive either at any piled up effects or making
high-grade animated
cartoon. On the contrary we tried to keep up to minimalism style,
to produce highly
pastiche object looking extremely attractive and showy like some
logotype or road
Here in Saint-Petersburg music group Skafandr is a favourite in
Petersburg underground
musicians circles, so we didn t want to put the lads in a spot. I
m very pleased that
they liked the clip.
And it s also nice that it was appreciated by animation experts
during the Festival.
You can soon see the clip on Russian musical TV channels. Right now
you can look at
it on the TOONDRA web site: www.toondra.ru
